Museums in Denmark: Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek

Carls Jacobsen gifted a collection of different artworks to Copenhagen in Denmark, which became the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. His ambition was to give Copenhagen a temple of art, and his wish came true in 1882. 

Currently, the museum holds more than 10,000 works of art, mainly representing ancient Mediterranean sculpture and French Impressionism.
