Beaches Across Copenhagen | Bellevue Beach

Just outside Copenhagen is located a charming 700m long beach. Bellevue Beach‘s iconic lighthouse, which Danish architect Arne Jacobsen designed, is unique. 

Currently, it is not just the Baltic Sea that attracts people, but the beach has two beach volleyball courts that have become extremely popular and a large lawn – where you can hide from the sun under the shade of the trees, have a picnic and cool down on a sunny day.

The beach can be accessed via train from Copenhagen central station.

Located at the former fishing village, Gilleleje Beach has a beautiful, picturesque harbour, where you can still see fishermen going into the sea, providing a somewhat fantastic feeling. 

When visiting the beach, you can also visit the historic Gilleleje town, which has a colourful history. And if you are hungry, Gilleleje town has a variety of seafood restaurants, which are a must-try.

The beach is located approximately one hour’s drive away from Copenhagen.
