Frequently Asked Questions
Where do the tours start?
All our public tours start from central locations in the city.
If you have booked a private or custom tour and your hotel is in the city centre, we can also arrange our meeting point at your hotel lobby. Please make sure to leave a comment and the name and address of your hotel when you make the booking, and we will confirm if the hotel meeting is available.
What time should I arrive for the tour?
We ask our guests to arrive no less than 10 minutes before their tour to ensure that no one is missing. Tours start promptly at the time stated.
What are the languages of the guided tours?
All of our daily tours with fixed prices that can be booked online are conducted in English.
If you would like to book a tour in any other language, contact us for a private/custom tour.
Will you cancel the tour if the weather is bad?
“There is no such thing as bad weather; there is only bad clothing” – we believe this Norwegian saying to be accurate, which is why our tours take place in any weather!
Please always dress according to the weather forecast and wear comfortable, flat shoes.
In the winter months, we highly recommend wearing extra-warm clothes and gloves.
I have a gift card; how do I use it when booking a tour?
Use the voucher code on the gift card and paste it into the” Gift card number” field when booking.
Can I get a refund for my ticket?
Please see our cancellation policy under the Terms of Service.
Who can attend? Are there age restrictions?
We don’t have specific age restrictions, but public biking and walking tours are unsuitable for children or people with poor health.
We strongly recommend booking a private tour to ensure the tour’s pace is suitable for kids, the elderly, or people with disabilities.
What level of biking skills are required?
All participants must be experienced cyclists capable of biking safely in a foreign urban environment. We take safety seriously. If you cannot bike safely on our bikes, you will not be allowed to join our bike tours, and no refund will be given.
What level of walking ability is required for the walking tours?
For public tours, participants must be able to walk more than 5 km (3 mi) at a reasonable pace.
Is bike rental included?
Yes, bike rental is included in our bike tours.
Do you provide helmets on your biking tours?
Wearing helmets is not compulsory in Denmark; therefore, we do not provide them. However, helmets can be hired on the day for a small fee.
What if I have dietary food allergies?
If your tour includes food or drinks, please inform us of any possible allergies when booking the time.
What currencies can I use to tip my guide?
They often get tipped in the local currency (such as the Danish or Swedish Krona) or Euros and American Dollars.
I use a scooter/wheelchair to get around. Can I still join the tour?
You are welcome to join the tours in a wheelchair, but please book a private tour so we can plan the route accordingly.
Can I customize my private tour?
The fixed-rate tours stay within the same predefined frame. However, if you want a fully customized tour, please don’t hesitate to contact us to create your perfect custom tour!
